Research we're presenting at the upcoming Basic Income Earth Network Congress

From Wednesday through Saturday, the Basic Income Earth Network (BIEN) will hold its annual BIEN Congress. The virtual conference includes presentations from researchers and activists around the world, and we’re delighted to participate.
Here are the sessions we’ll be presenting (times are given as British Standard Time; subtract five hours for Eastern Time and eight hours for Pacific Time):
Thursday at 6:30PM BST: Lessons for Basic Income policies, pilots and modelling
- Max Ghenis and Nikhil Woodruff will present their paper, “Blank Slate UBI” (co-authored with Charles Bauman and Deepak Singh).
- Rick Evans will present progress toward constructing a general equilibrium model of UBI in the UK (a collaboration with Nikhil Woodruff, Jason DeBacker, Jonathan Pycroft, and Max Ghenis).
Thursday at 6:30PM BST: Considering public attitudes to Basic Income
- Katarina van Alebeek and Will Fedder will present our new UBI Poll Tracker (link coming soon).
Friday at 9:00AM BST: Guaranteeing a standard of living with a Basic Income
- Nikhil Woodruff will present his paper, “Replacing tax and benefit allowances with UBI in the UK”.
- Max Ghenis and Nikhil Woodruff will present their research on funding a UBI with a land value tax in the UK (co-authored with Charles Bauman).
